The Dream

THE DREAM You've heard the voices all along at night so crystal clear, but you choose not to hear the song because of what you fear. There is no end, to how it goes, through time, it carries on, from where it's come, to where it goes, it never will be gone. I know you've dreamt what I can feel, and it's the dream I had, you wonder why it was so real, though seemingly so sad. The fence was there, to keep things in, or maybe keep things out, but there's a gate, right where it's been, you never dreamt about. You wonder who was singing there, your song you've never heard, it tells your life and strips it bare with every single word. Was there not someone you've not known, you recognized in me, the very same the dream has shown your heart's refused to see. It's just a dream of looking for someone you might have met, or maybe it is really more of me you'll not forget. © Vee Bdosa the Doylestown Poet
