The Dream

She dreams of romantic bliss
A walk in the garden
A kiss under the moonlight
But the dream betrays her

She dreams of candles and wine
Gourmet delights to dine
Amber lights and sweet melodies
But her dream is a nightmare

She dreams for a second half
To share her life
Guide her through life’s tumultuous path
Her dream forsakes her

Reality murders her bliss filled dreams
Tears her life apart it seems
Takes her down a blood filled trail
Her dream is over
