The Dream

Staring up at the stars tonight,
I couldn't be happier.
I couldn't have wanted more.
Us kissing under the mmonlight.
I'll never forget it, no.
That's when it began ot show.

I told you that I loved you,
You pointed to the sky,
And stared, as it just passed us by.
I waited for an answer,
But still there's no reply.
I felt tears come into my eyes.

I wanted us to be together forever,
But nothing really lasts forever, right?
Sitting here alone,
I imagine everything we could have been that night.

You never said 'i love you, sweetie'
I haven't heard it from the start.
To think that I could change you,
Was only me fooling my own heart.
