The Dream
It was such a beautiful dream
On this lovely spring day
When you told me that you loved me
In your own special way.
I told you that I loved you too
And you said that you knew
But, I have loved you for years
And you said you had too.
Looking back on all the times
Our paths never crossed
Because we avoided each other
Think of the love we lost.
So very many years have passed
And you're still in my dreams
I can only wonder
What does that mean?
