The Dragon Protector
Do not worry little one, a toad said with a smile.
The dragon protector will be along in a little while.
The baby dragon was grateful the toad stopped by.
The next one to stop was a squirrel who said “hi”.
Who is looking after you? The squirrel asked with a bit of concern.
The baby dragon was not sure but appreciated the bouquet of ferns.
The next one to stop was a bunny with a giggle and a notorious hop.
Do you have enough food? The hare asked, I could quickly go shop.
Dragon protector was on her way. She heard this and more.
She watched the animals give optimism to the dragon named Thor.
I am glad you are being taken care of, she said with a smile.
I will lead you back to your mother; she is this way, about a mile.
The baby dragon had no idea he had been in any danger at all.
The animals had taken care of him, created a protective wall.
The evil ones who wanted to harm him were chased away.
Thor had no idea how many protectors he had on this pretty day.
