The Distance Horn
Afar away I hear a horn
The calling of my laconic mourn
The illusion alluring endeared corn
I know I’ve been there before.
For this day that I live, I lock
Trying to girdle, to strengthen the dock
I only imagined I could lack no shock
For this day, I wish to be there.
It’s the distance horn of my ancestors I recall
Their moments of life, their ball
-This day’s nakedness, vacancy, pollution and fall
That I wish those of today would care.
