The Distance Between Loving and Leaving You

POEM " THE DISTANCE BETWEEN LOVING AND LEAVING YOU" by martin gedge A waking glance a frozen chance a failure of the heart we tried to gain when fault was pain that tore our vows apart the will gone lost for what it cost we could never seem to mend the tears we cry as passers by when you lose your closest friend at times we failed on seas we sailed two ships against the tide to fix this place that left a space with only hurt inside one goal it seemed to have a dream a world beyond the fence the fields to roam a happy home where everything made sense the broken piece a love to cease was never in the plan but now as two no longer glue it leaves us where we stand for what it's worth as sure as earth as light begins to fade I cling to hope upon this float to follow my parade there is no doubt when looking out the things I leave behind will make me strong for ever long and give me peace of mind but now as said I made my bed we learned from our mistakes and furthermore my distant shore will ride before it breaks.... by martin gedge© martin Gedge
