The Distance

Off in the distance 
I can see
Your beautiful heart 
Flying free

Pink and blue
Glowing high
Glimmering heart beat
Twinkle in my eye

Feel your breath
With every one you take
Beating pulse
How my heart aches

Through the clouds 
I see your smile
Missing you more
With every mile

Lonesome road
Dreams of you
Whispering your name
If you only knew

Listen closely 
And look to the sky
Forever dreams 
Of you and I



Inspired by a photo taken by a friend who travels across the country in an 18 wheeler
sharing many sunset and sunrise photos along the way.
