The Diamond and the Coal
You were born to be a diamond
I was cursed to be the coal
Your beauty shines for all to see
I hide in a cold dark hole
They marvel at your reflection
And talk about your shine
They said that I'm too ordinary
To ever make you mine
It's kind of like that fairytale
Beauty and the Beast
One of the most beautiful things
In love, with one of the least
They said I couldn't keep you
You would turn your head in shame
And that you were just too special
To take on my last name
But when it's right, you know it is
Deep down in your soul
Like the marriage in this fairytale
Between the diamond and the coal
