The Devious Dog

The devious dog slides in the mud Landing with a big thud As he raises, he shakes off Then quickly, he takes off Chasing the curious cat Who stole his owner’s hobby hat Up the tremendous tree it goes He can’t follow the curious cat knows A billy bird screeched As the curious cat reaches With his long curved claw Away from the devious dog’s jaw Bark, Bark, Bark Meow, Meow, Meow Then came a loud sound Causing silence all around With a shout, the devious dog rebounds Running towards his master’s sound The curious cat purrs with relief Curls up in the tremendous tree to sleep
