The Devil You Know Is Better Than the One You Dont Know

in the daylight im just like you i blend in just like you i walk like you talk like you eat like you but im not you in the hours leading up to midnight you'd think we were one of the same behind a two way mirror we stare at eachother wondering what the other ones thinking in a crowd of a million people i am lost in you you call me names you laugh at me you say that i am ugly you push me away we stop making love and you say that your bored i try to please you in everyway but thats never good enough i buy new clothes and go on a diet i even lost ten pounds i got a makeover and went to therapy but you refused to notice i put my makeup on and do my hair before you open your eyes but im not you nor am i good enough for you ill never be what you want yet i try to keep you happy in my nieve thoughts i pretend you still care but im forced to face my fears you don't love me anymore you call me a whore say im worth nothing say im a piece of trash then you take off for days why do you come back to make me cry to catch me with another person itll never happen because im not you i beg you to leave me instead you refuse to go with one foot in the door you rather let me know im tired of your pain and all your mental games one day ill be the one who leaves you on your knees!
