The Devil Reveals

The mirror became clearer
the deception of her reflection
is just as she feared
displaying the monster
that haunts her
who taunts her
who wants her
to inhale
to impale
lifting her veil
adjusting her sail
expecting her to fail
he shows no restraint
as he attempts to taint the saint
aspiring to wash away the paint
of the beautiful landscape
causing a mutation
of the illustration
a new creation
a hallucination
the confusion
the illusion
causing delusion
by his intrusion
is just enough to amuse him

He tries taking control
of a beautiful soul
begging for worship
kneeling on hot coal
she fears no demon
for she lived with the devil
he was her alibi
she was his vessel.

She had deviated from his plan
didn’t agree to his demands
and so the day began
the horned feared beast
was no longer manned.
