The Devil Is Waiting

The devil is taking over our lands.
Evil is dripping down from his hands

He patiently waits to drive his hate into us
All it takes is one moment when our faith we distrust

Then there he is leaving his fowl mark
On a heart that is now turning so dark

The strength of his power, oh how it grows
With each drop of blood that gushes and flows

This evil can be beaten and removed from our lives
Through only belief of a faith that survives.

Stand firm in your faith, pray every day
The devil is waiting to steel you away.

Deep thoughts Janet and well expressed. It sort of touches a similar theme to my poem 'Loving Opposites.' How to we transform 'The Devil?'

Loved it.. The poem I wrote Changes is a true story. This past November I had a stroke. It was so bad Loss of my memory and all that goes with it.. A few days after I came home from the hospital, I woke up and remembered I had not been praying. I had lost my memory of Jesus, prayer and all.. Then I asked God the Father, in the name of Lord Jesus Christ to restore to me all that satan had stolen from me and He did. I could not live without my Lord!
