The Devil Dances
This world has come full circle
And lies groaning in its sin
For time has now encircled
The beginning of the end.
And now the Devil dances
His hour upon the stage
Through flatteries he prances
To the cadence of his rage.
The goats call him "Messiah"
Who willingly take his brand
Become the dark pariahs
Of the one true Son of man.
Self righteousness is blindness
And sin breeds only death
Without the Master's kindness
All souls would loose their breath.
'Twas grace that flowed from Calvary
And then opened Heaven's door
His blood that paid the salary
For sins that stain no more.
And so the Devil dances
For his kingdom is at hand
Since evil now enhances
All imaginings of man.
For soon the final curtain
will roll up like a scroll
And one thing is for certain
The Devil will take his toll.
But I shan't be distracted
While our Lord defeats His foe
For I'll be one retracted
Crowned a Prince as pure as snow!
