The Desolate People
Downhearted and d e j e c t e d,
feeling completely defected-
Woebegone and despairing,
a life never repairing.
Utterly disconnected,
they s i l e n t l y speak undetected.
The people of the night are pained,
where only heartache remained-
C r e s t f a l l e n and downcast,
only misery can last.
No happiness contained,
no atonement refrained.
Seen only when they are down,
always wearing a heavyhearted frown-
Least of concerned and i g n o r e d,
living a life so abhorred.
Alone in this God-forsaken town,
with no one to care around.
He knows not a life of adoration,
just u n g r a t e f u l for his creation-
She knows not a life of contentment,
but lives in constant resentment.
Until they feel a loving sensation...
they will live in utter D E S O L A T I O N.
