The Debate
She had a strong voice
And he did too
He stood in his beliefs
She stood in her truth
He knew his subject
Very well
He lost his grip
When she rang the bell
She knew statistics
Like a mathematician know numbers
But she slipped
And when she fumbled
He took the mic
Like a running back catches the ball
He made a touch down
The man just didn’t fall
She composed her thoughts
And jumped back in the game
Her words were like jabs
She hit him with a right and than a left
He took a deep breathe
They shook hands
Then they took their seats
A draw
No defeat!
