The Days of Heaven
Sitting by the shore one day
I listen as the Angels play
On golden Harps and sing of Jubilee.
Basking in God's Perfect Light
Eternally, what pure delight
Sitting by the shore of the Crystal Sea.
Standing on the bank one day
Beneath the Tree of Life I'll stay
Enjoy the shade and watch the water's flight.
Peaceful breezes stir the air
As Angels hover here and there
Beneath the Tree, beside the River of Life.
Standing by the Gate one day
Greeting those who've been away
Earth and Heaven ours to freely roam.
Friends and loved ones all around
Strangers here cannot be found
God's bright Heaven our eternal Home.
One day I'll spend with family
Friends and loved ones happily
Gathered in the mansion built for me
Laugh and love and share the day
None need ever go away
It’s better here than I dreamed it could be.
One day we'll gather one and all
Assembled in the Banquet Hall
To celebrate the marriage of the Lamb.
Wayward sinners, we His bride
Will dwell forever by the side
Of the Son and Groom, the Great I Am.
One day I'll kneel in awe and love
And bow before His Throne above
Honoring my Lord, my God, my King.
I can’t breathe I’m so undone
He bids me rise and calls me son
And says He Loves me more than anything!
Standing by the shore one day
A thousand years have gone their way
Everyday as fresh and new as spring
Here the wonders never cease
Neither Love, nor Joy, nor Peace
Forever praise to Jesus, Lord and King!
