The Day Lord Has Given

I have heard the clock jingle.
I have seen the ray of the sun.
My hands touch my ears and heel.
This is a day the Lord has given.

The giver is the Provider.
He that wakes me up is able
To provide me with all I need.
Upon this cheerful giver I will wait.

I shall only play my part;
Not to be wise in my own device.
If the lord does not build the house...
I am sure you know the verse.
