The Day Is On Its Way Out

"The day is on its way out,
And my night has much to think about

For all that I was given,
Today while I was livin

My life, my way,
Everyday

The promising and the good,
The bad and misunderstood

Of what passes by our way,
Keeping a little we’d like to stay

For a moment or forever,
A kaleidoscope of emotions together

Memories,
My treasury

Of what is important,
To keep my heart buoyant

For those days I find nothing to keep,
So I can sleep instead of weep

In the powerful calm of the night,
Knowing that God will make thing right.

For what I cannot see,
He will show me

To keep the faith,
Comforted in his grace"
