The Day I Met You

I wanted it to be over, I wanted to die
All night I would sit up and cry
Feeling so alone, so confused
I felt used and abused
I acted like someone I wasn’t
What a fool I was, until I met you
You helped me to see what I wanted to be
You helped me cope with this messed up world
You helped me heal when I just couldn’t deal
You brought out the real me
I no longer feel I have to put on an act
You brought me back to life
The day I met you
