The Day I Laid Egg
The day of torment
House so tense and humid
Eagerly expecting trouble
Death just at my door
Armed robbers’ eyes with blood stain
Yearning; ‘lay an egg or be killed.’
I shouted--- kaak kaak preparing to lay an egg
Lying on my pot belly
Air no longer fresh--- impure
It was sulphur hot--- I started pushing
Due to fear, I had to lay an egg; at least one
Eyes of theirs flooded with laughter
Gun dull nozzle points the floor--- their fingers at me
Giving me a chance---look at this hen hahaaa heehee hiiihiiii
Safely, I left money and escaped with-
--eyes on my buttocks
