The Day Distilled

"The darkness awaits me,
For there is no moon to see

Just billions of stars,
And all the planets, including Mars

Are there to greet me,
And insure my dreams agree

My hopes be fulfilled,
From this day distilled

All that was special for me,
And to dream more of it to see

For the happiness I extract,
Becomes my hearts contract

To live with love to share,
To those whom I especially care

For it is in them I thrive,
A dangerous world to survive

To renew my spirit and fill it with hope,
As I climb my mountains steep slope

To conquer and achieve,
My goals for me

For only if I am strong,
Will the world hear my song

The sweet melody of my life,
On which these stars shine their light"
