The Day Before Rain
The day before rain was still
a breeze filled with a rainy smell
all in all the clouds fluffy and white
the moon was shy as if halved by an bite
Calm and cool the day at ease
feeling like at an moment the day could sneeze
the birds were hopping on the ground
where seeds and bugs got gobbled down
the sun was wearing shades
not bright at all was this day
The aches in Aunt Holly's knees
let us know that rain would please
Hope it's just a soft rain that chills
not a wicked dark strom with thrills
Spring is here and our minds beware
at any moment a twister could appear
the forecast is for heavy rains tomorrow
the day before rain feels like one borrowed
in tornado ally a fear resides
a ström shelter saves lives
