The Day

Oh hey there birthday, when'd you get here?
You're so far yet I feel you near.
Oh the smiles I see and the singing I hear.
You make me older, wiser every year.
You were here not so long ago, then faded away.
I'm flying through the years, living to tell how it was in my day.
Yet I want to be here forever, just a baby at play.
Soon, you'll be gone and I'll be just another body to lay.
But in the meantime, I'll hug my family and friends and replay..
