The Day

The day stretched and began to stir.
it yawned and made
leaves sway.
It showered in the mist and rain,
then dressed in clouds of gray.
It worked its way through treetops,
had lunch on a
tranquil lake
then laid down on the forest floor,
and took a
well earned break.
