The Dawn

Written: April 06, 2024 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Behold the moon, an aesthetic gem in the night sky. A golden tint of dawn was approaching nearby. They're inextricably linked, to my soul with grace. Mother, moon, and I in the dawn embrace. With the moon to my left and dawn to my right. I greet my friend as morning takes flight. And as darkness strikes, I bid my mother farewell. Our love endures through all ebbs and life swell.

SP, a pleasure to read. As the day begins you focus on the things that are important to you. Not a bad way to think about each day.

So beautifully poetic, my friend: --Behold the moon, an aesthetic gem in the night sky. A golden tint of dawn was approaching nearby--excellent imagery you created through your gifted imagination.

a touching and elegant tribute to your mom. I especially liked "They're inextricably linked, to my soul with grace. Mother, moon, and I in the dawn embrace. Those words moved me as did the last line 'And as darkness strikes, I bid my mother farewell love endures through all ebbs and life swell.' I remember the 'darkness' I felt when I bid my final farewell to my mom. You captured that empty feeling coupled with the assurance that the love/bond endures. your poetess friend in Texas, Sara

Ahh!! Nice one. I enjoyed reading it today. It is always fascinating to see the sun and moon both in the sky close together. Thanks for sharing this one with us and for dropping by my page. Sara K
