The Darkness Eight
I have them hidden everywhere
a basket, the ledge in the shower here there anywhere
When I see them now I feel shame
for my action, I am only to blame
the innocent now knows
making it that much harder when the pain and suffering grows
I try so hard to push it down deep
chain and lock it in the darkness to sleep.
When it wakes the fear inside grows
longing for that blade is quite the striking blow.
I don’t retrieve my shiny friend.
For tonight is not the night my life shall end.
