The Darkness and the Light
"The Darkness And The Light"
"I've a question!" said the Darkness to the Light,
"Do you plan on really shining more bright?"
"For if you do I just have to say,
that the brighter you shine, I have to go away!"
"So would you do me a favor and lessen your glow,
and let my darkness overshadow and show,
that I should rule everywhere in this life,
spreading my Darkness in times of strife!"
"So what do you say, can we strike a deal,
you go away......and I become real!
With Shadows of Darkness in everyone's sight
there will be no Day,
only the Dark of Night!"
The Light shook it's head and said,"Now, I am really surprised
that you would dare think that I would compromise!"
"I am the Light of the world,
and every morning,
I am unfurled!"
"See, more people expect me to enter their lives!
With great expectation they do realize,
that with me in this world lighting their way
they get to enjoy the Best of the Day!
"Let me explain to you Darkness, why you even exist!"
"Now play close attention, and listen closely to this!"
"See, you are the Darkness and I.... I am the Light!"
You may be the owner of your time,
but I am the Broad Daylight!"
"I simply go to other places
and you fill in the space,
and when I return
you will disappear!"
"I am the Light of this Place!"
"So Darkness I'll be coming everyday
and you will simply just go away!
I will be bringing the "Light to Life!"
"Fade away! "You will with your Darkness
and strife!"
"Now!....
It is time Darkness,
for you to go!"
"Remember what I told you
for I want you to know,
for you there's no Tomorrow
for you never stay,
but I am the Light!.....
and I'm the Light
Everyday!"
