The Darker Side of Christmas

Christmas comes but once a year
And it typically brings a jolly cheer.

And although Jesus came to bring the light
Satan comes in the dead of night.

But when it happens that your mother is sick
And its cancer that she might not lick,

Then after Thanksgiving day
To the nursing home mom went to stay.

When you know your travel plans will be
Renting a U-Haul for furniture you need to take

So that mom’s house will be empty and sold
It’s a kind of an ugly feels, that gets old.

But maybe that is such a pessimistic look
It would be foolish to throw in the book.

The darker side of Christmas might not offer feel good cheer
But mom is still alive, at least this year!

My wife and in-laws all believed Christmas was the best time to expire so make the most of the next 12-months! Aloha! Rico

Yes, she is alive! I pray that God has mercy on her, whatever that means in His all knowing sight.
