The Dark Winter

The Stormy Winter

Angry wind blasts through the air
Sweeping all within
Night is dark and streets are bare
Nothing to be seen

Snowflakes forming in the clouds
Waiting to fall down
Arctic breezes fill the sphere
In this quaint, small town

Blizzard gusts howl loudly
Sending warning signs
Nature’s brewing up the biggest storm
That we’ll ever find

I stay in my haven
Reading a good book
Grateful to rest warmly
In my cozy nook

While Mother nature’s stewing
And causing a great plight
While I hide in my comfy nest
On this wild and blistery night
