The Dark Half
Come forth November, we welcome you
Though cold an silent, one day all will be new
All life goes to sleep in a way
Our souls need peace, a time to give thanks and pray
Reflections from our heart, of days long ago
Reminds us of fireside chats, and the places we'd once go
Dim light from the sun slows all that would grow
Preparing for winters fresh bedding of snow
It's only the dark half the other sides bright
Lets let out a laugh, and light our candles each night
Till April your sister with showers of rain
Wakens our spirit, then we'll all dance again
Nan
