THE DANCE OF ANGER

THE DANCE OF ANGER

Starting very slow, almost still
As the cold anger in me rises
A single step, then one more
Barely moving across the floor
What rage this dance disguises
And regret is such a bitter pill

Then as we turn, I look behind
It’s him, dancing with her again
With the rhythm, she is leaning
Partner has a different meaning
This jealousy making me insane
As hate is bubbling in my mind
