The Dance Eternal

Wrap me in crisp white linen
Gently close my coffin door
Lay me to rest six feet under
Weep for me no more

Hold fast memories of days gone by
When our lives would intertwine
I pray they are ones you cherished
As much as i cherished mine.

I thank you all for the final farewells
As i head for heavenly skies
Know my time with you all was special
But i must leave and say good bye.

One day i know we will meet again
One day when your time is due
Know that i will be waiting there
Ive saved an eternal waltz for you

Wow, that's a wrapping I'm not looking for. Excellent write, the imagery is great. I like the peace you share at the end. Acceptance of life and the afterwards... Enjoyed. Linda
