The dam in summer, Thick air, hot, Green, Myst by the falls, Red wing Black birds sing, Riding our bikes, Fishing for pike Cattails and breeze, Innocence, happiness, ease, The dam in winter, Dark, cold, gray, Ice on the river, Short are the days, Everything bleak, Snow at our feet, Empty branches blow, Realization, hopelessness, sorrow JEV

Thanks for sharing this... May I add to this poetic realization the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." The Lord's blessings be with you.
