Today was wetter than the other days.
Having the day off, I relaxed my mind,
Entertaining it with what I would find,
During a time when my movie would play.
A trip to the library always pays
In ways that benefit those on their grind,
Leading, with their words, the ones who are blind,
Yielding nothing to those stuck in their ways.
Reading and writing so that I can learn
Everything that I will need to know.
Practicing, until I can get my turn
On a stage that allows poets to grow.
Reality said that I had to earn
The right to be invited to the show.
