The Daily Grind

These chains hold me
To a truth that sets me free
These prison bars keep me safe
Until I am ready to be me
This work camp keeps me humble
So I can live with pride
These many limitations release me
From the oppression that lives inside

So if you have no choice
But to be held back
If it's the inspirations
Or the passion that you lack
God is working within you
The power to liberate
The holding tank helps
Your drive to emancipate

So surrender the obsession, your
Endless thoughts to escape
And allow the present moment
To work within you and reshape
Your inner workings that will
Shift so you can grow
And receive the blessings that are
Waiting once you let go.
