The Cure For Poison
All you do is disappoint me, time and time again
You’re so careless and so reckless
All you do is hurt me and pretend to have the cure
When I try to leave you beg me to stay
Just to turn around and hurt me some more
I wanted to believe you were the one
You would say anything just to get your way
Like a fool I believed you would change
You were poison and I couldn’t see
I was blinded by what I hoped we would be
I wanted your love so desperately
You took me up so high just to watch me break
I was in pieces and fell down like rain
I had to leave you, as you faked despair
I’d rather see you in hell, than pretend to care
Did you regret the games you played?
Now that you’re all alone with no one to manipulate
All that we had was turned asunder
A prayer hasn’t passed my lip since that day
I left you and hope behind sealed in a coffin labeled mistake
