The Cure For Loneliness

She was only a little girl of four Adorably perfect in every way Was told to expect a baby brother And could barely contain her excitement She was only a little girl of four She waited so patiently and she prayed She could not wait to see him and hold him Her loneliness deep down would be no more He arrived and she stood up to the plate Surrogate mother, little girl of four He was her living breathing cuddly doll She loved and protected him through the years The little girl of four grew up so fast The many years flew by and life went on One day she became a widow grieving Her gruesome loneliness back in full force 'Twas her brother’s turn to reciprocate To stand by abiding to protect her AP: Honorable Mention 2020 Posted in March, 2018

He was her living breathing cuddly doll. yes, this is exactly how it is. My twin and I used to fight over our brother, who arrived when we were seven and a half. This poem touches my heart, Line. Nice!
