The Cure

"The Cure"

The world burns
you rise like a phoenix
wrapping your wings of fire
around the smouldering innocent
ash of dreams and nightmares untold

each feather that falls
a quill caught and held
becomes each
the other story’s
mighty sword

words aren’t just
they're never Just

words

words just aren’t
words

they're each
the other's world

It's more than just a shared pen, it's a feeling floating between two souls

Difficult circumstances present to humanity at present between two collective soul groups; difficult circumstances on both sides and choices made, "an eye-for-an-eye". Alliances will shift and I cannot help but think actions are delivered by "words" written all around (political instructions; military instructions; religious instructions; media delivery; and truth muddied in shadow; all lacking total empathy. We look around at other communities outside of what is occurring in global wars at present (where alliances seem to be clearly drawn in the sand - yet the winds of change, fear, lies and truth, will blow over those alliances).

The souls caught in between the lines in the crossfire are the children, all around. Yet here we are writers, poets, bickering amongst ourselves, when empathy is required to raise the "Agenda" towards Light. Empathy requires a clear understanding of oneself to love and respect another. This is where it begins. Surely? When it comes to terrorists, they have no souls, they are not martyrs, they are like trolls stonewalling bullies, they do not possess empathy, respect or trust in another, they do not understand compromise and fairness, they have no concept of Love... these are the lost souls that never find peace nor paradise. Empathy, respect, trust - Love (can begin with the first three ...words). Perhaps that is what this poem is about. Rising through the ashes and bringing others up towards Love and Light. We have a limited amount of time in this dimension to make a positive impact and spread Love, on many levels, including familial and all other relationships.

if only there was a cure right now for the mess the world is in ...besides the dire and most obvious. We are all waiting for a Hero to save us. Messages in all words written, that have the power to make positive change or demolish, in every creative empathetic heart.

"Native American warriors were awarded a feather when they won a battle or were particularly brave in war. When a feather falls to the earth, it is believed to carry all of the bird's energy, and it is perceived as a gift from the sky, the sea, and the trees. Feathers may arrive unexpectedly but not without a purpose."
