The Cross

The tiniest speck of light
. . . It's a curious thing
Something innate inside
. . . Makes a songbird sing

as it sits on the windowsilll..... lost in thought
yet you cant speak.......
is it beauty or destruction
that it so desperately seeks........

Is it the sun or maybe "the one"
Who ripped me from darkness
Down on my bleeding knees....... weak as can be
When my nights were....... nothing but starless

I sit here and wonder how
this light so softly tugs on my spirit and soul.....
I dont want to hold on any longer
Yet i dont want to let go

It's the things that I.......
Don't even know that I don't know
That might hold promise on the other side
So I go into warrior mode
to help me make it through darkest night

Having made it though , I now see
the beauty in all i thought was lost
"The one" who saved me........
Came in the name of Jesus .... the one, who defeated darkness and ascended on the cross
