The Craven Raven

To speak the words of famous lore
He backs away forevermore
For he’s afraid to quote the words
He dares not say them, “Never more”

So timid, he, he trembles true
Though black as night, his heart is blue
He dare not draw attentions light
To hide in shade, he means to do

The creative title captured my attention. Nice use of rhyme--fitting for the theme. Interesting take on Poe. It works!!!! Karen
