The Covet Saint

POEM " THE COVET SAINT " by martin gedge

Lost in faith in sure duress
rescued hearts in feathered dress
skies of the harmonious avenue
for darkness broke and shadows cease
to give of thee defining peace
his righteous might to safely covet you
for warmth of love will always share
the skins of souls that in despair
to lead of promise hope beyond the door
where fields to lay beneath the sun
in hands of god the chosen one
to rest the purest light forevermore...
