The Course of Our History
Amazing how things never meant to be
Can change the course of our history
No one should have shipped the Moors
From Africa to these far-distant shores,
Nor should we have pillaged Indian land
While many were saying, "Ain't it grand!"
I wonder if the so-called race to space
Will turn on us, to our lasting disgrace?
Who can know a great unanswered query
And, if answered, some will be contrary.
