The Council

Workmen just dug up my path
With barely a word to me
Tis to move the lamppost Missus, so that you can see
I could see before, very well thank you
I didn’t ask for the move from you.
Well Missus we are just doing our job
We still have to go out and earn a bob
What about the thousand pounds it cost me
For my drive that you just dug up.
Don’t worry Missus well put it back
 and cover it with muck.
The men have gone my drive is done
The £1000 is lost
It looks like something you would win
As a booby prize in a box.
