The Connection

i can see the blue light through your bedroom window a glowing TV and a snake in its cage with guitars on the walls and the smell of your dog posters of Lennon and pictures of Cobain a suburban neighborhood at night snow on the ground and holiday lights and there you are, doing what pleases you most blowing the brains out of virtual ghosts and zombies you leave your bedroom through the window and go to try to impress an acquaintance oh look, you jumbled up the words, didn't give them what they wanted so you get in bed at night and the words ring through your head you feel the connection so strong you don't know what's right or wrong 'cause your whole life you thought you were strange for falling in love with the weirdest things you're so gross and screwed-up and hidden and you wonder if anyone knows it 'cause your brother was your best friend since you were kids but he was never one to covet you feel the connection so strong you don't know what's right or wrong 'cause your whole life you thought you were strange for falling in love with the weirdest things
