The Confluence of Grace
"Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them."
— John 7:38
The Confluence of Grace
As I sit down with pen in hand, there's something you should know,
When I talk about the river, I talk about the flow.
I talk about my soaring life, I talk about my fall,
Sometimes life was kind to me, sometimes I gave it all.
Like water weaving through the rocks, where sudden thunder roared,
Then smooth and still like fragile glass, just shattered by the oars.
I am the whole, untidy mess... a bothered, battered soul,
The confluence of grace where the deeper waters roll.
Converging on the rocks of life, both halves of who I am,
The fragile woman deep inside the body of a man.
I hope you see me for my soul, just exactly as He planned,
For I am just a river, created by God's own hand.
