The Color Red

Red is the color on my lips and the color in my veins
the sweet smell rose's when your walking alone.
That gorgeous color when the sun goes down slowly, yet you can't forget it.
I'm the color of fire that's in your soul, and one powerful element.
My heart and fire in your hands,
Please don't give it.
Keep it with you, inside you.
For I, am always there, burning love and pain in your heart as you try to walk away.
Never lose that flame.
for you are not to blame for who put it out in you.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

The ending line tells the reader so much more than they expected to ever learn from such a short missive. Beautiful!
