The Clock Strikes 12:00
I walk through the woods alone and cold
It makes me feel like I’m growing old
Every step I take every breath I breathe
Makes me ponder about the air I breathe
Is the air around me safe or as toxic as can be
I pull out my phone to check the time and it is only 9:00 so I decide to wind down and close my eyes.
As soon as I close my eyes I feel like death is near and I’m about to meet my demise the minute they open I’m met with a face a creature of the damned and so out of place.
I slowly rise to my feet and as I do..it whispers to me
“ahh it’s you..I wondered when you’d awake.” The creature said with a smile so wide it made me shiver with anticipation.
I slowly backed up and it twisted its head upside down making it look like its smile was turned into a frown.
“oh such a shame you are so afraid you fear doesn’t taste as good as your joy pity now that you must be destroyed.”
The creature had said as it got so close I could feel it sweat.
“you shake so fast like a leaf why be afraid when it’s only me.”
I heard it say I slowly pulled out my phone to check the time and no longer was it 9:00 it was 10:13
“this has been great but I must go..” I say eagerly as I slip away and soon I feel the wind against my face my feet running against my own will.
The light of the moon glimmered and shined against the water as I drew near I could hear the creature laughing and coping my movement every turn and every bated breath.
Time continued to fly as I tried not to cry and then it happened the clock on my phone struck twelve.
A loud ding and dong to follow suite I screamed as it all faded to black and when I actually opened my eyes there was no going back.
I seemed to find myself stuck in a tube full of ghostly green goo it seemed that the clock in the room had strike twelve and before I could even make a move a madman touch the glass of the tube
“Experiment 1202 welcome to the world around you.”
He said as he looked around
“we had to stitch you back together with body parts laying around”
He said and I slowly felt sluggish i couldn’t breathe or talk.
“go back to sleep and be quiet you’ll have to do this all over again until your in working order..you are going to be a part of the next world order”
He said and I fell asleep and the clock striked twelve once more I screamed out loud realizing that this is what I was born for a science experiment a true tale of defeat I guess when the clock strikes twelve it’s not an easy feat.
