The Clock

Here in the UK we go through this rigmarole twice a year

I went outside at two o'clock
Looked up and had an awful shock
'Coz there before my startled eyes
a strange thing happened in the skies

The stars, so fixed within their courses
were affected by strange forces
The heavens seemed to shift and change
as the stars did rearrange

Something there was really wierd
as stars, long set, now reappeared
To the East, the stars there, dipped
and below the horizon swiftly slipped

It was then that I did realise
what had happened to the skies
and what had caused me such a shock
Someone turned back the cosmic clock
