The Click
Do you fit in my click before you sit?
Do you say what I think and
titter not tat?
Chitter chat, not meow in a hat.
Do you tick and tick
not tock and tock
nor bounce, nor roam, nor sit alone?
Sticks and stones and
whispers and moans,
cutting lies with a satirical tone.
Can you whisper not shout
and slither about with silky skin
and perfect grin and tell a tale or two or three?
Then you can be we, and we can hang out,
and talk about, and talk about, and talk about.
Do you live in my corner?
Are you a willing fawner?
Can you give me your time
without expecting mine?
Think my thoughts lets crush and thwart
all those who bounce and roam and sit alone,
tock and tat and shout all that.
